Controllers for PTZ Security Cameras

   A PTZ camera is no good unless you can control it. PTZ Camera controllers vary pretty drastically in their appearance and features depending on the type of camera system that you employ. Standalone DVRs already have built-in support for PTZ cameras in most cases, however you can also use a seperate PTZ controller keyboard that will give you a joystick that you can use to control the PTZ camera as well. These Joysticks/Keyboards can also be used independently of a DVR system to issue commands to your PTZ Camera.

   For PC Based DVRs, there needs to be an interface between the PC and the PTZ camera for the RS485 wires to connect. PTZ Controller adapters like our RS-001 adapter allow you to plug in to the serial port on your PC and then adapts to the 2-wire RS485 control to allow your PC-Based DVR Card to send commands to your PTZ Security camera. With this PTZ controller in place, you can control your camera through the software supplied with your DVR card. PC systems like our Alnet PC Based DVR Cards will even allow control through iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and more, as long as the correct PTZ Controller (RS-001) is installed and connected to the camera.
