Our Policies

Shipping Process:

Each product is shipped via UPS (Contiguous 48 States) or USPS (AK, HI) unless otherwise stated for that specific item. We do our best to process and ship each in-stock order within 24 hours of receipt of payment, however we cannot guarantee the date of any shipment.  Each of our cameras and DVRs is hand tested a final time prior to shipment to ensure quality, which can take longer during packaging, but helps to reduce on the chance of receiving a bad camera or recorder.  Orders that require additional verification will ship once verification is received.  Many in-stock orders received before 12:00 PM (Noon) CST will ship the same day.  Note: Orders that include a Standalone DVR with a Hard Drive installed, or Custom-Built PCs will also take additional time to assemble and may cause delays.  If you have a time-sensitive project, please call us in advance so that we can advise you of when your order will ship so that you can select the appropriate shipping method for it to arrive when needed. 

Shipping Charges:

Shipping Charges include: Processing, Packaging, Handling Charges, and shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable for any reason. All shipping charges are estimated for US contiguous 48 states, please contact us for shipping information for international orders. UPS Services and their stated delivery times are as advertised by UPS.  According to UPS policy: Ground, 2nd Day Air, 3-Day Select and Next Day Air shipment times do not include weekends.  For questions on actual shipping times, please contact UPS directly.  Platinum CCTV is not responsible for UPS delivery times, delays in the delivery of your package does not constitute cause for refund of shipping costs, as we cannot guarantee or warranty shipping services provided by UPS.  For items shipped under "Free Shipping" specials: if items are returned or exchanged, the original cost of shipping will be deducted from the credit or refund NO EXCEPTIONS.

Lost or Damaged Packages:

Platinum CCTV cannot be held liable for damage to the package during shipment. If damage or loss of package occurs during shipment, it is the responsibility of the customer to contact the USPS or UPS office to file a claim. Accepting or Signing for the package if damaged makes it impossible for us to help you with the replacement of your package. UPS and USPS interperet acceptance of the package as acceptance of the package in good condition. It is the responsibility of the customer to open and inspect the package and each item therein for damage prior to signing for the package.  It is at the sole discretion of the carrier whether to replace the items in the package.  Delayed reporting (more than 48 hours of receipt of package) of damage to a package will usually ensure that the shipper will not accept liability for damage to the package.  In such cases, the damage to the package becomes the responsibility of the customer, as Platinum CCTV has no liability or control over the package once it has left our facility in good condition. 


Platinum CCTV (Ez-Toyz Inc.) controls and operates this website from its offices in Naperville, Illinois. Any dispute regarding the products purchased through, or the content, warranty, services, images, graphics, products or representations provided on or through this website is to be governed by the substantive internal law of the State of Illinois. In the event of a dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement or to the products, warrantee, content, services, images, graphics, products or representations provided on or through this website, litigation must brought in state or federal court in DuPage County, Illinois.






Warranty Policy

Platinum CCTV  Limited Product Warranty
The following warranty policies apply to all Platinum CCTV Brand Products only.  All other product warranty through respective manufacturer's policy.

1. Limited Warranty.
Platinum CCTV warrants that the Products sold hereunder will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of ONE (1) year from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified on product warranty card or with extended warranty purchase. If the Products do not conform to this Limited Warranty during the warranty period (as herein above specified), Buyer shall notify Manufacturer of the claimed defects and demonstrate to Manufacturer satisfaction that said defects are covered by this Warranty. If the defects are properly reported to Manufacturer within the warranty period, and the defects are of such type and nature as to be covered by this warranty, Manufacturer shall, at its own discretion, furnish replacement Products or, at Platinum CCTV's option, replacement parts for the defective Products. 

2. Other Limitations.
The foregoing is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Platinum CCTV does not warrant against damages or defects arising out of improper or abnormal use or handling of the Products; against defects or damages arising from improper installation (where installation is by persons other than Platinum CCTV), against defects in products or components not manufactured by Platinum CCTV, or against damages resulting from such non-Manufacturer made products or components. Manufacturer passes on to Buyer the warranty it received (if any) from the maker thereof of such non-Manufacturer made products or components. This warranty also does not apply to products damaged through abnormal electrical charges, acts of God, physical damage or other abnormal abuse.  This warranty also does not apply to Products upon which repairs or modifications have been attempted by persons other than pursuant to written authorization by Manufacturer. Charges for incoming or outgoing shipments of defective or alleged defective components are the full responsibility of the end-user. This warranty is non-transferable, and will be rendered void at the time ownership of product occurs.

3. Software Limitations.
Platinum CCTV does not warrant operation of software in any specific computing environment. It is the responsibility of the end-user to ensure that their PC hardware and software meet the system requirements specified by the software manufacturer. Upgrades, modifications, software installation or removal or replacement of PC is the responsibility of the end user. Platinum CCTV or its affiliates are not liable for damages, data loss, costs associated with upgrades/repairs/replacements that are necessary for end user to perform in order to comply with system specifications or to troubleshoot system operation. The end-user is ultimately responsible for any and all costs associated with the installation and upgrade of their hardware which is not manufactured by or for Platinum-CCTV.

4. Exclusive Obligation.
THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE. It is the sole and exclusive obligation of Manufacturer shall be to repair or replace at the manufacturer’s discretion the defective Products in the manner and for the period provided above. Platinum CCTV shall not have any other obligation with respect to the Products or any part thereof, whether based on contract, tort, and strict liability or otherwise. Under no circumstances, whether based on this Limited Warranty or otherwise, shall Manufacturer be liable for incidental, special, or consequential damages.

5. Extended Warranty.
Extended warranty purchases are available on certain items at time of purchase.  The extended warranty does not change any conditions of the warranty, with the exception of the date of termination.

6. Other Statements.
Manufacturer's employees or representatives' oral or other written statements do not constitute warrantees, shall not be relied upon by Buyer, and are not a part of the contract for sale or this warranty.

7. Entire Obligation.
This Limited Warranty states the entire obligation of Manufacturer with respect to the Products. If any part of this Limited Warranty is determined to be void or illegal, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.

Platinum CCTV Warranty Returns Policy:

ALL RETURNS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY an ISSUED RMA # (Items received without proper RMA# will be returned unprocessed). Fill our our RMA Request Form online to recieve an RMA# for qualified warranty returns. Customer is responsible for all return shipping amounts. Defective merchandise will be subject to inspection by manufacturer if required.  You will be informed if the camera or DVR card is required to be shipped to the manufacturer via Email once we receive notification from the manufacturer.  We cannot control the length of time for processing of repairs by the manufacturer, we will ship products to the manufacturer at your request in order to save you the cost of shipment to the manufacturer.  At your option, you may also elect to send the product directly back to the manufacturer at your own cost and deal directly with the manufacturer in regards to your product warranty.  Platinum CCTV (Ez-Toyz inc.) is not responsible for loss of use of an item for any reason, including, but not limited to failure under manufacturer's warranty.

Surveillance Components Warranty:

Please see specific Item description for Manufacturer's Warranty length. If you should experience any difficulties with your cameras within the warranty period, please fill out our online RMA Request form to receive an RMA Number. Cameras or DVR Cards covered under the manufacturer's warranty will be repaired or replaced by the manufacturer at their discetion.
Please note: Return shipping must be prepaid before return shipment of warranteed items. Please allow adequate time for manufacturer to repair or replace cameras. In most circumstances, the product Manufacturer's warranty excludes any physical damage, damage incurred during freight forwarding, or neglect to adhere to warnings, electrical surges caused by neglect and damage from direct sunlight.

When you receive your RMA # the technician will include the address and packaging information for appropriate return of the product. Follow the directions carefully in order to ensure proper routing of your returned package for processing.

Ez-Toyz Inc. will not be held to any other warranty express or implied other than the warranties clearly stated above.
