Quality Control

   Whether you are installing a camera yourself, installing a camera system for a client or reselling security camera systems and packages, then quality is important. At Platinum CCTV, we are dedicated to ensuring that every Standalone DVR, DVR Card, CCTV Camera and Power/Video Cable meets our highest quality. To ensure that all of our components function properly, we hand test each camera, cable and recorder several times before the product is ever shipped out to our customers and distributors.

Factory Quality Control

   In the factory, where all of our products begin, each component is individually tested by our dedicated staff before the components are even assembled. This means that only image sensors, lenses, hard drives, housings and cable ends that meet our strict standards are even used during the assembly process. Once components are assembled into a camera, standalone dvr or dvr card, the entire assembly is once again tested before it is even placed into its box.

Distribution Center Quality Control

   Once the Cameras and Standalone DVRs are received in our main distribution center, they are removed from their packaging, and each assembly is hand-tested once again, enduring multiple duration tests and endurance tests to ensure appropriate operation in a hard-use environment. Any products found not to meet our standards at this point, are shipped back to our factory, to be dismantled and independently tested, to find the cause of the malfunction, so that adjustments can be made on the assembly line, additional testing can be implemented, and the problem can be documented and prevented in the future. Products that pass are stored in our warehouse until needed by our shipping center.

Shipping Center Quality Control

   Just because a product has passed the endurance tests in our distribution center, does not mean the product is yet ready to be shipped to our customers. After the product is received in the shipping center, it is placed into our warehouse stock and awaits its time to be shipped out. As soon as one of our Distributors decides to help free the product from its resting spot in our warehouse, the product is removed from the shelf, and once again is opened and plugged in to ensure proper operation. Products that fail their final test, are first shipped back to the Distribution Center, where tests are re-run and results from the inital tests are examined, to find out how the product made it through the tests initially, then results and the product are sent to the factory, so that components can be tested individually, and adjustments can be made in the product line to avoid problems in the future.

The End Result

   All of this testing is done just to ensure that when you open the box of any Platinum CCTV Camera, DVR, DVR Card or even cable, that the product works right, the first time and for a long time afterwards. While even the most stringent testing cannot eliminate all possible problems, our quality control agents certainly try to make sure that any flaws never make it all the way to you or your customers.
