Re: Multiple cameras active freezes PC
Been reading up on IRQ's... if memory serves, when I checked the IRQ for the BT878 card it was on IRQ 16 which I find is a virtual IRQ and can cause problems. I'll see if I can lock the card on an real IRQ that is unused. Nothing to lose right?

Thanks,
James

Re: Multiple cameras active freezes PC

James,

We will have you try one more driver...but the important thing is to make sure that all of the old drivers are removed each time before trying a new driver.  You should be able after removing the drivers, to initiate the found new hardware wizard, and have windows not be able to find drivers.  That will tell you that the drivers are completely removed.

We will post the drivers here shortly.

Thanks,

Re: Multiple cameras active freezes PC
Just an update on some things. I found the video portion of the card is using IRQ 18 and so it the graphics card. The audio portion of the video card is on IRQ 5 but I don't have audio so it's irrelavant to me. I disabled the audio portion but it didn't change what IRQ the video was on. I went into the graphics card settings and disabled hardware acceleration and some other items but that didn't help. I also found out XP won't let me assign IRQ's without reinstalling and disabling ACPI... which might be an option if you think setting the video card on a real IRQ instead of it being on the virtual IRQ with the graphics card would help. Would suck to reinstall everything but cheaper than buying a new MB with no clue if I'll run into the same problem.

Doubtful that the high IRQ would cause the problem...

Before starting from scratch, I would remove any other PCI devices and move the PCI Card to a different slot to reload drivers again.

Try uninstalling drivers and installing this test driver instead:

Let us know if anything changes.
