Security Camera Showroom Come Visit our Security Camera showroom in Naperville, IL
recently purchaced pv140vproa and installed. Everything seemed to work good until software started shuting down having a runtime error. It suggested that I update drivers on card and windows which I did. After doing so I can only get a blue screen with a eye and a padlock image. Tried uninstalling everthing and going back to a restore point with no success. By installing what I thought was a update driver, could I have locked the card up? Any help would be appreciated.
6carfan,
Thank you for your email. We are sorry to hear about the problem you are experiencing. This sometimes happens if you reinstall the software. Basically, the padlock icon appears when your current user does not have rights to view the camera. Go to the Account Setting and then click on your user on the left hand side, click the check box for each of the cameras for live view and remote access, then press the modify button. After you have hit ok, then you will probably need to exit out of the software and open it back up again.
If you have added the rights to the cameras back in correctly, then you will no longer have the padlock image.

Thank you for your quick response.
I now no longer have the padlocks. However, after restarting the software I only get a blue screen. No video. Any Ideas?
As some of your other posts suggest. When I take a snap shot I do have a image.
For blue screens, there can be several causes...all covered in this thread in-depth:

If you previously saw video, then it is most likely a video card driver that needs to be updated from the website of the Video card manufacturer (ie. http://atitech.com http://nvidia.com )
