security eyes v3.303 has suddenly stopped working. when attempting to open the program we get a runtime error saying the application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. have tried uninstalling and reinstalling program. no other problems with computer. Suggestions please

What version of Windows are you running, and what service pack level? Please also check the Control Panel --> Windows Update, and determine if Windows Automatic Updates is running.
Most often when we have seen this problem, it is because windows update has run and installed updates in the background while the Security Eyes Software is running. Unfortunately, in most of these cases, a reinstall of Windows is necessary, as it has corrupted one or several of the necessary system files that is required by the Security Eyes Software. As it is not one of the Security Eyes specific files, reinstalling security eyes software does not seem to fix this issue. We have not been able to update what specific file is causing this error, so there are no easy fixes.
If you have windows system restore active, you might try restoring to a previous restore point, when the security eyes software was running, and stopping the computer from running automatic updates. We are unsure if this will work, but it is worth a try, as it might save you from reinstalling windows.
On any PC running any DVR software, it is HIGHLY recommended to disable the Windows Automatic Update feature, as windows forcing a reboot or installing upgrades in the background while your system is recording...and this can cause this very problem. To install updates if absolutely necessary, it is recommended to stop the security eyes or other DVR software, then manually download and install updates onto the system, rebooting before restarting the DVR software.
