EMAIL Alert

Trying to get the system to email my cell phone.Contacted my internet provider & was told tp use SMTPAuth.earthlink.net.Also was told I would have to change outgoing mail port from 25 to 587.

 Where do I do this??

Thank you for your inquiry,

   In order to change the port for SMTP, you will need to append ":587" to the end of the SMTP server address as seen in the picture below.  With the SMTPAuth Server, you will also need to use your login and password as shown.

I would try with the smtp.earthlink.net email server on the default port.

We have no way to test with alternative ports, as our server use the standard port.  Security eyes was designed for use with a standard smtp over  port 25, and works well with that config.

Many customers with earthlink have been able to operate with the standard smtp.eartlink.net

The other option could be to run a free smtp server on the PC, and to authenticate to that server.
