Re: Looking for Web Interface
Okay, yeah I am looking for something that specifically avoids the web client which has a number of issues.  Embedding into a web page would be much easier.  I am surprised such a client does not exist for the Security Eyes system as the data is there, and the streaming capability is certainly there, it's just a matter of a properly written embedded java / activex client instead of the non-embedded web client.

Re: Looking for Web Interface

Unfortunately, the Security Eyes Software and DVR Card is marketed as a basic Entry-Level system, which provides remote viewing capabilities through the client software only.  The developers scrapped the old Java-based single camera web viewing page, as they ran into stability issues when integrating a Java embedded client applet into web pages.  When multiple clients logged in via a web page in the version 2.5 software, for any length of time, it would cause server-side instabilities, which defeated the purpose of a surveillance system.  Therefore, when they designed the upgrades to the software (V3.0 and above), they have abandoned the old Java based web client in favor of a more full-featured remote client software, which now offers higher resolution and remote playback of video, in a more stable environment.

However, the Alnet Systems cards do provide these higher level Java features, and have been time-tested to be stable even with embedded video in multiple web pages.  The Java applets for embedding can even be configured to auto-login and pull up certain cameras as the default.  Multiple applets can also be embedded into a single page to offer views of multiple cameras on a single web page, as well as the full HTML Java client, which will offer user-level access with selection of cameras and control of inputs and outputs.

Thank you

Re: Looking for Web Interface
We did have streaming video developed by a web developer but we got hit so hard with people we were locking up or having all types of problems video would slow to a crawl we would set just so many to be on but didn't help ,so we went the other way and noted that to  try again later if the log in's were maxed out ,and we are running very good PC's that we had built with 3.8 extreme processors and 500 gig hard drives, you can alway develope a embeded site like we had but looking for problems with stability if you have much web traffic,a good web devepoper can fix you up but we found out the hard way.and almost ruined a couple of  PC's,We like the set up were using now with the new client software, works so much better to use and easy to set up.
