No Video, Only Blue Screens!

Here is the Most Common issue that we heard about in previous posts that were lost:

Hi,

   I just installed my Security Eyes Pro DVR Card, and the software seems to work properly, but instead of seeing the video from the cameras, I can only see Blue Screens.  What am I missing?

This is the most common Problem we see!  Here are the Possible causes:

1.  Security Eyes Software set to PAL instead of NTSC
2.  PC's Video Card Drivers not installed (Using Default Windows Drivers)
3.  Using Onboard Style (Unsupported) Video Card.
4.  Cameras not getting correct power
5.  Video Cable connection problems


Here are a few tips:
1.  Change the "Video Format" Setting in the main control panel to NTSC then restart the software.
2.  Load the latest Video card drivers from your Display Adapter Manufacturer's Website
3.  Replace onboard style video card with an AGP or PCIe Video card that meets Security Eyes system requirements
4.  Ensure that the correct polarity and voltage is getting to your cameras.  Cup your hands over an infrared camera to see if the LEDs glow (a good sign the camera is getting power)
5.  Move video cables >2-4 feet away from high-load electrical devices, check for loose connectors, or plug the camera directly into the DVR Card or TV with a short length of cable.

These causes and solutions fix 99% of the blue screen problems that people run into with the Security Eyes Pro DVR Card (Trust us  )

We have a system and have everything set ,like you say in the post and installed the newest video card drivers but still getting a blue screen any ideas?

forgot to menton everything works fine when hooked to VCR its just when hooked to the Card

1.  What PC Specifications are you working with?

   A.  CPU Type and Speed
   B.  Motherboard Type and Model
   C.  RAM Speed, Type and Amount
   D.  Video Card Type and Model # (also PCI, PCIe, AGP, etc.)
   E.   What model and number of DVR Cards are installed
   F.   What version of the Video Card Driver is being employed?
   G.   Is the System set to PAL or NTSC in the SE Software?

2.  What OS are you running and what Service Pack Level.  Is the OS Media Center Edition?
