Alnet Traffic not getting through
Modified By Platinum Support on 7/11/2010 9:18:13 AM)

Windows 7 32 bit, alnet 16ch hardware compression cards.

Somehow I cant get to the VDR-S client. I've opened the ports, turned off the windows firewall, opened the ports through the windows firewall (a little bit redundant since the firewall is off). I have confirmed that the traffic is getting through my router and is not being blocked there.

Anything specific to Windows 7 that causes this? I'm used to XP and cant explain it myself.

The Client application does not throw an error - it actually says "Succesful" but then the cameras show in error and it goes back to trying the connection again,

Thanks.
Omar.

Re: Alnet Traffic not getting through
Omar,

Sorry to hear about your trouble. A few questions should help determine the problem:

1. Have you enabled the Network services in the NET server software?
2. What version of vdr-c client software are you using?
3. Did you open ports for TCP and UDP?
4. Are there any "internet security suites" installed on the PC...like Norton or McAfee?

Then please respond to your registration email with the registered address, username and password for this system and we can test it from here too. Please don't post this info on the forum though.

Thank you,
Platinum Support
