Hello together,
i´m new here and i come from Germany.
I use Alnet since last Year and it´s great. The System works fine and now i want to modify a few things for my PTZ Domes. I want to use the User Commands for special Control but i didn´t find any Documantation about "how to use".
Maybe anyone can help me?

has nobody a solution or idea? I use Version 3.0.0.362 and i want to use the User Commands to control a few separate Functions of my Speed Domes.
With normal Pelco D Protocol it works fine but any Functions i can use only with special Functions that not implemented in Pelco D...
The Support of Alnet doesn´t answer until now...:-(

We are not sure what functions you are looking for that you don't see in the software. If it is just IRIS OPEN/CLOSE or another standard feature, then you can program these functions to buttons on your keyboard by going into the Alnet software under Configuration --> Dome Control and click the Add New Button. This will allow you to add in new buttons for standard protocol settings.
However, if you need to set up a new command that is specific to a particular camera by entering specific raw code, then I believe that Alnet has removed that feature from their software. Previous versions had a seperate executable in the program files --> Alnet install directory, but it appears that the latest version does not have this file for editing the protocol files or add new functions. Older version Alnet software may allow you to still access this, but we have not tried using the old protocol executable with the newer protocol files yet.

Hello and good mornig,
the configuration in the Dome Control i know an in this Menu you can add a User Command. But it is not specified what this ist and which Parameters can be used.
The Edit program doesn´t exist anymore but i have edit the the Protocolfile himself. There is the Problem, if i write a new Function this function will not be availble in the Dome Control Add. Change Parameter in the original Function( Showmenu) it works fine.
My Speed Domes need 2 Codes for Show and Close Camera menu and this is what i want to integrate.

When the Protocol editing program was around, you could not change the existing protocols, but you could copy one protocol to a new name, and then save it as an alternate protocol. Using this method, you could add or change protocols. Perhaps try changing the file name of the protocol, then it should show up as a new protocol.
