I have my cameras mounted on my barn and sugar shack in Minnesota and I am in Florida. I want to be able to upload and review my archives here in Florida. Unfortunately, because of my remote loation in Minnesota, I am on satellite instead of cable or DSL as they are not available. I need to know what the best settings are for my cameras so that A: I'm not recording when nothing's happening, B: The files are maximumly compressed for uploading and C: I'm not recording the movement of every blade of grass that happens to wiggle. I'm at the mercy of the Fair Use Policy of the provider and have already received a warning. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. The more detailed the better. Thanks.
