Security Camera Showroom Come Visit our Security Camera showroom in Naperville, IL
I have installed a D500 with version 3.0.0.325 software on my pentium dual core machine running Vista 32 bit.. Everything works except that it doesn't see to start recording when it detects motion.
If I press the Recording button, recording takes place and I can review it in the archive.
If I set the schedule for this camera (I only have one camera hooked up) and select "Motion Only" or "Always" the camera does not record.
Going to Configuration->Cameras->Recording tab and selecting 'motion only' or 'always' doesn't work either.
I have tried playing with the motion sensitivty thresholds but that didn't help either. What am I missing?
Thanks.
Dan,
Thank you for your post. From what you are describing, it would appear that you are turning off the Master Recording switch and deactivating the system.
In the VDR-S software, the small red button underneath the Program Menu, is used to activate the system. If this button is NOT flashing, then no schedules or schedule overrides will work. Basically, this is a master kill-switch.
So set your schedules to record on motion, and then turn this switch on so that it is flashing, and the cameras will record as scheduled. In the Camera settings, set the schedule override buttons to (Never), otherwise the cameras will follow that override instead of the programmed schedule.
