PTZ Dome Camera

We are unable to control our PTZ Dome Camera. We had the system down for a while, but we recently got it back up and running. The dome camera is set in the system, but we are not sure the connections for the PTZ are correct. We recently purchased a RS-232 - Rs 485 connector (db 9) to connect to the DVR -PC. However, we are unable to move the camera. How should the camera be connected to the terminal block for the connection to the PC?

Thanks for you help

Re: PTZ Dome Camera

Thank you for your inquiry Dave,

In order to control your PTZ Camera from your Alnet System, you will not only have to have the hardware in place, but also make sure to configure the settings in Alnet to reflect the PTZ camera's Protocol and baud rate.  The protocol and baud rate are usually set by dipswitches on the PTZ Camera's board during installation, and the settings in the Dome Settings of the Alnet software must be configured identical for it to be able to control the camera.

Thank you
