This DVR-7004 Full D1 Resolution Real-Time 4-Channel H.264 Internet Viewable Standalone DVR is a great selection for any home or business security camera system where high quality digital recording and remote viewing capabilities are required. This standalone DVR will record from 4 cameras and 4 Audio Channels simultaneously, permitting you to record from all of the cameras with continuous or motion detection style recording onto internal hard drive (optional hard drive sizes above). This standalone DVR will accept any standard SATA hard drive, or you can have us install a hard drive for you, so that it is ready to go when it ships.
The H.264 AVC Codec built-in to this Standalone DVR provides better quality recording while taking up less space on the hard drive. This permits you to get longer recording times with smaller hard drives. The H.264 codec performs better than MPEG-4 and better than M-JPEG compression formats with improved file size, better internet framerate and improved picture quality over the previous codecs.
This Standalone DVR is a great choice for home or business security camera installations where a PC is not available or desireable for recording. The Standalone DVR will plug directly into any standard television or monitor with BNC or VGA video inputs, allowing you to view live and playback pre-recorded video right on your TV or PC Monitor. The Internet Explorer remote viewing capabilities will allow you to view your cameras live over the internet using a standard IE browser. The internet remote viewing permits you to view your cameras live, playback video or even create a backup of video right over the internet. This Standalone DVR comes with remote viewing aps for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, Symbian and Windows Mobile PDA phones, which will allow you to view live streaming video remotely over the internet in great quality, and even control any PTZ cameras right from your PDA phone.
The DVR-7004 Standalone DVR has advanced remote viewing capabilities often found only on PC-Based DVRs including live streaming video from a PC, Laptop, BlackBerry, iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile phone or even Symbian cell phone. The included Backup capabilities allow you to back up video onto a USB Flash drive or even over the internet through a web browser. PC software is included and is compatible with Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7.

Easy to install
Comments:
This DVR was easy to install in place of my old DVR. My last DVR was supposed to have internet viewing, but it never worked right. With this DVR, it works. The cell phone viewing is great too.

I wanted to see my cameras on my cell phone. I was very happy to see this one worked with android. The view is exactly like the demo on the page, which was good enough for what I needed.

Good video recorder
Comments:
The video recorder was a great addition when i went to update my old system. I used to have a PC based system, this one was much more simple to use. I knew it came with a DVD, but I was surprised to see that it really did walk through everything. I am not a computer guy, so i was surprised that i was able to get everything up and going and even view it from the internet on my own.
